October 28th 2002. It is with regret that we have to announce the death of our most regular spectator, Patricia Hughes. Pat was the unfortunate victim of a mugging attack a couple of weeks ago and died two days ago as a result of the stroke brought on by shock. All of her club colleagues and friends are shocked and saddened that the life of such a remarkable and strongly independent but frail elderly lady should be shortened in such circumstances. We will all miss her support and friendship. |
