We will aim to provide as much information as possible here of any coaching or development opportunities happening in the local area that may be of interest to clubs and players within the Plymouth & District Badminton League.

Coaching Secretary and Development Office for Devon

Level 2 coaching course - Sundays 12th March,  9th April and 30th April at Acorn Sports Centre

Details of the full range of courses being run by Plymouth City Council Sports Development Unit for Club and Volunteer Development Workshops during 2006

 

‘EQUITY IN YOUR COACHING’
On
Tuesday 14 November - 6.30-9.30pm
Cost £25.00* £5 reduction for clubs with a PCC Club Accreditation certificate

Everyone should have access to sport, regardless of gender, age, race, ability, faith or sexual orientation.

This workshop is designed for coaches and will help you to apply and extend your existing skills to meet the needs of present and potential participants.

It also explains what equity means and why it is important and identifies barriers to participation.

The above course has been organised by the Sports Development Unit and will be held at:
Windsor House, Tavistock Road, Plymouth

The course includes a resource book.

Plymouth City Council's Sports and Recreational Grant Aid Scheme

Do you know that Plymouth City Council runs a Sport and recreational grant aid scheme?

There are 2 categories - 1. Travel & accommodation   2. Sporting qualifications

These are available to those living within the recognised city boundary and/or who are members of a recognised Plymouth sports club or organisation who are non-profit making.
