The YMCA 'B' team had a tough evening against Devonshire 'D'
in their
Division 5 match in December.
The YMCA team had 3 of the regular 'B' team players absent and all of the
men were playing their first season in the league.
So it was a steep learning curve for the side against a team that were very
much 'in form'. The Devonshire men had straight set wins in all of the matches.
Unfortunately Ruth Lyle of the Devonshire pulled up with an injury in the
first ladies match and was unable to continue playing. Having conceded 3 events,
the Devonshire went on to win the two mixed doubles matches and the final score
of the evening was:
