In the Division 4 match, Mayflower Wednesday 'B' played against
the YMCA 'A' team on the 11th December.
Both teams had a change of players and Carl and Marcus got the home team off to
a good start with straight wins against Rob and James of the YMCA.
Both of the other mens matches went to 3 games and Rob and Peter got the YMCA's
first point of the evening.
The YMCA ladies took two out of the three matches and narrowly missed out on the
third match when Waine and Lyndsey lost by 17-15 12 -15 17-16 to
Karen and Julia.
Two victories in the mixed doubles was enough to see the YMCA side win 5-4 on
the night and the number of aces of 268 for the YMCA and 253 for
Mayflower Wednesday showed just how close it was.
