Both the YMCA A team and
the YMCA C team played over the waters
on
Friday 10th January.
The 'A' team were at Callington playing
against their 'B' team. The YMCA
ladies were in fine form winning all of their matches and the men won 2 out
of 3 of their games.
The mixed matches were close and Waine /Rob from the YMCA were taken to a 3rd
game which they won 15-9.
The other YMCA pairings won in 2 games to make it an 8-1 victory for the
YMCA side.
Closer to home, the YMCA 'C' team played
at Torpoint. Paul and Steve got
the team off to a good start winning 17-14 but Torpoint 'B' men, Mike and
Chris levelled with a 15-12 win. In the third game, the YMCA men won
15-12.
Paul and Darren won comfortably but Steve and Darren lost their men's match.
Experience showed in the ladies matches and the YMCA team were unable to win any
games.
Torpoint 'B' took the first two mixed matches and were looking for the 3rd
mixed pairing win with Chris and Anne winning their first game 15-10.
Caroline and Paul responded with a 15-12 win in the second game and went on to
win the third game 15-13.
The final score was : 'Torpoint 'B' 6, YMCA 'C' 3
