With a couple of changes to the Wednesday B Team that crashed 7-2 to Callington last week the fresh blood almost snatched victory in this match. In the end they had to settle for just 4 points against BATS B at Bere Alston. It was, however, a thoroughly entertaining evening, and the BATS' youngsters in particular, are a credit to their club.

 

The match stood at 3 all after the level doubles. The BATS' men had the edge in their games, while the Wednesday ladies with two tough three setters held the upper hand in their section.

 

The first mixed went to Wednesday, and the second to BATS' leaving the match all square at 4 each.

 

In the final mixed BATS' Gavin Leithal became the only player to remain undefeated. He and Glyn Hingston cruised through 15-12 15-2 against Karen Searl and Derek Smith. The final result of the match being BATS B 5, Mayflower Wednesday B 4.
