Coming back on the 2.30am Torpoint ferry gave the YMCA 'A' team time to reflect on what had been a very long evening.
With 7 of the 9 games going to three, it was a disappointing result for the YMCA 'A' side.
Ryan Lambourne and Geoff Harris lost the first match 15-13 15-13 but then Ryan played with James Travis and they won 15-8 15-4. The third men's match was very close with Joe Trethewey and Rod Olney from Torpoint playing against Geoff and James. The Torpoint men took the first game 15-4 but the YMCA men came back to take the second 15-11. In the deciding game Torpoint won 17-14.

After losing the first game 15-6, the ladies adapted to the 'feathers' and then won 15-12 15-8. Waine and Lyndsey lost 15-11 and then won 15-12 to take the match into a decider which the home team 15-6. Melanie and Lyndsey then took the second game 17-14 to force a decider which Torpoint won 15-7.
Torpoint won all three of the mixed games but were made to work hard for their win. All the matches had 3 games and Geoff Harris and Melanie Francis came close for the visitors snatching an away event. Unfortunately they lost the third game 17-14.
The final match started after 1am and James and Lyndsey won the first game 15-13 but the Torpoint pairing of Rod Olney and Joan Fellowes came back to win 17-16 and then 15-8.
