In their first match of the season Mayflower Wednesday "B" made a flying start at home against Tavistock "B" in Division 4. Tavistock's Gill Northey and Kate Wright saved the whitewash with a hard fought first ladies event, which they took 14-17, 15-8, 15-13.
For the home side there were undefeated debuts for Lesley Northcote, and Marcus Dover. The latter being a valuable capture from the now defunct West Tamar club.
